Meet the New Simyke E40P: Dual-Mode Baby Monitoring Made More Accessible

Parents rarely monitor their baby in only one way.

During the day, you may want a dedicated screen beside you while working, cooking or moving around the house. At night, you may prefer a simple monitor next to the bed that does not require you to keep checking your phone.

But when you're away from home, the situation changes. Being able to open an app and check in remotely can make staying connected much easier.

That everyday change in how parents monitor their baby is exactly what inspired the Simyke E40P Dual Mode PTZ Baby Monitor.

Launching on September 24, 2026, the E40P combines a dedicated 4" parent screen, remote viewing through the Simyke app and flexible PTZ camera control in one monitoring system.

One Monitor. Two Ways to Watch.

Why We Created the E40P

For years, baby monitors have generally followed two different approaches.

Traditional baby monitors give parents a dedicated screen that is simple to keep nearby at home. Smart baby monitors connect to a phone and make it possible to check in remotely.

Both are useful.

The problem is that many families do not live in only one of those situations.

You may prefer a dedicated screen while you're home, but still want the freedom to see your baby from your phone when you're away.

The E40P was created around a simple idea:

Parents shouldn't have to choose between local monitoring and remote access.

At home, use the parent screen.

Away from home, use the app.

The monitor adapts to your routine instead of asking you to adapt your routine to the monitor.

At Home: Simple Monitoring Without Wi-Fi

The E40P comes with a dedicated 4" parent screen for everyday monitoring around the home.

For local viewing, the camera connects directly to the parent unit, so you do not need Wi-Fi just to check on your baby from another room.

Keep the screen beside your bed at night, carry it into the kitchen while making dinner, or place it nearby while working around the house.

Sometimes the simplest experience is still the most convenient: pick up the screen and see your baby immediately.

Away From Home: Stay Connected Through the Simyke App

There are also times when a dedicated parent screen simply cannot go with you.

When the E40P is connected to Wi-Fi, parents can use the Simyke app to check the live camera view remotely.

Whether you're at work, traveling or simply away from the nursery, the app gives you another way to stay connected.

This combination is what makes dual-mode monitoring useful in real life.

You are not choosing between a traditional monitor and a smart monitor.

You have access to both.

A Physical Wi-Fi Switch Gives You More Control

One of the E40P's most distinctive features is its physical Wi-Fi on/off switch.

Instead of managing every connection setting through an app, Wi-Fi can be turned on or off directly from the camera.

When remote access is not needed, parents can use the dedicated screen for local monitoring. When app viewing is needed again, Wi-Fi connectivity can be enabled.

It is a small physical feature, but it makes the two monitoring modes easier to understand and easier to control.

PTZ Coverage for a Baby Who Never Stays Still

A newborn may spend most of the day in one small area.

That does not last forever.

As babies begin rolling, crawling, playing and exploring more of the room, the ability to adjust the camera view becomes increasingly useful.

The E40P supports 330° horizontal pan, 90° vertical tilt and 4X zoom, allowing parents to adjust the view remotely instead of constantly repositioning the camera by hand.

That flexibility can help the same monitor continue to work as your baby's daily routine changes.

Designed for Everyday Monitoring, Day and Night

The features parents use most are often not the most complicated ones.

They are the features that quietly make everyday monitoring easier.

The E40P includes VOX mode, 940nm no-glow night vision, temperature monitoring, two-way talk, lullabies and sound detection.

With VOX mode, the parent screen can sleep while the room is quiet and wake when sound is detected. This helps reduce unnecessary screen illumination at night and can also extend battery use.

The parent screen supports up to approximately 11 hours with the screen continuously on and up to 20 hours in VOX mode, depending on actual usage and settings.

At night, the E40P uses 940nm no-glow infrared night vision to help parents see the nursery in low-light conditions without relying on a bright visible light from the camera.

Move Around the Home Without Losing Sight

The E40P parent screen supports local transmission up to approximately 1200 ft in open environments.

Actual range can vary depending on walls, interference and the layout of the home, but the goal is simple: give parents more freedom to move around the house while keeping the monitor nearby.

From the nursery to the bedroom, kitchen or living room, the E40P is designed to stay part of the routine instead of keeping parents tied to one place.

E40P vs. E50P: What's the Difference?

Parents who are already familiar with the Simyke E50P may notice that the two monitors share a similar dual-mode concept.

The biggest difference is the parent screen.

The E40P uses a more compact 4" parent screen, while the E50P offers a larger display.

That makes the E40P a more accessible way to get the core Simyke dual-mode experience—dedicated local monitoring, remote app viewing and PTZ camera control—without necessarily choosing a larger parent unit.

For families who want a larger display, the E50P remains part of the Simyke lineup.

For families who care more about flexibility, practical everyday features and value, the E40P offers another option.

More Than One Way to Stay Close

The E40P is designed around a simple reality of parenting:

Different moments need different ways of monitoring.

At night, you may want the parent screen beside the bed.

During the day, you may carry it from room to room.

When you're away, you may reach for your phone.

The technology should fit naturally into those moments instead of making them more complicated.

That is the idea behind the E40P.

More Care. More Love. More Flexibility.

One Monitor. Two Ways to Watch.
